WHITE MTS MOTOR SPORTS PARK

There was Thunder in the Mountains and it was not from the sky but from the roar of the engines of the Senior Tour Auto Racers as they hit to the track of White Mountains Motor Sports Park in North Woodstock , NH on June 21st.  Star started their day with warm ups from 12:00 till 3:00.  The evening began with a 10-lap heat.  Darryl Dutch from RI in his #9 a 1937 Chevy coupe drove to victory for the first event of the evening.  Dutch circled the track with the checkered flag in victory of his win.  In the modified feature David Scott from NH in his #5 a 1932 Ford Coupe showed the modifieds just how it is done by taking down the checkered in the 20 lap modified feature. Charlie Lima from Ma in his 2X a 1936 Chevy coupe took a very close second and finishing off third place was Roland Cassidy from NH in his #01 a 1976 Ford Pinto. In the 20-lap Sportsmen feature Bob Bateman from RI took his first win with the Star Tour by racing to the finish with his #17 a 1978 Ford Pinto to pick up the victory for the Sportsmen division.  Dennis Fish from Me in his #35 a 1966 Chevy Nova took a second by less than a nose.  Newcomer to the Star drivers, Gary Moore from NH in the 00 a Chevy Nova finished off the pack by taking third.  Bateman and Scott took their victory laps with the checkered flag then were brought to the start finish line for a out of car interview and presentation of trophies.  Star would like to thank White Mountains Motor Sports Park for a great night of racing!
