STAR'S TOY DONATION DAY

CEO of Innovation Business Partners, Joe Clouatre presented the Star Toy Drive with a very large check towards the 2008 toy donation

On December 21st Star held it’s annual toy donation at Pace Head Start School, New Bedford , Ma.  Snow lightly covered the ground and gave the real atmosphere of a White Christmas.  This year Star serviced over 200 high risk, low-income children.   For most of these children this would be the only Christmas they would receive.  The day began at 9:00 as Star’s Santa; Dennis Lowes made his way to the first classroom only to be greeted by smiling faces and cheers from the children.  As Santa passed out the toys you could see the sparkle in these children eyes as they open up their bag to find it full of toys.  Some of the children even climbed into the bags to look at what they had received.   When Santa left each classroom the children would hug and kiss him good-bye.  Sometimes so many children surrounded Santa that you could hardly see him.  I know Santa loved this!  It sure made a difference in lives of kids who really needed it the most and Star wants to thank all the members who donated to Star’s toy drive and just let them know they made a different in these children that day.  With toys and donations Star was able to service all the children this year.  But then we have Star’s elves busy carrying bags and bags of toys from classroom to classroom.  This year Star would like to thank the following members for taking the time out of their busy day to come and donate their time to such a needy cause.

With out these dedicated and special members we would have not pulled this off.  Thanks to Star’s elves for unselfishly giving their time for these children.  Star passed out over 1,000 toys that day to help brighten the holidays for these disadvantaged children.   In the parking lot of the school, Charlie Lima president of Star put his 2X coupe on display for the children.  One by one the classrooms would come to the parking lot to sit in the stock car.  Then the children asked for the car to be started.  Covering their ears from the noise but to see the faces just light up from the roar of the engine was priceless.

But today was not only a surprise for the children but it also was a surprise for Star as the CEO of Innovation Business Partners, Joe Clouatre presented the Star Toy Drive with a very large check towards the 2008 toy donation.  Star would like to thank Joe Clouatre and Innovations Inc for their generous donation and what a great way to start the 2008 Toy Drive season.
