CANAAN FAIR SPEEDWAY

Star made it second appearance at the Canaan Fair Speedway, Canaan , NH on July 18^th.  Star started it day with afternoon warm ups. Cars from NY, PA, MA, and NH were on hand to give the fans a taste of the "Good Old Days".  

The first event for the Star group was the Sportsmen heat were Joseph Keefner from Ma in his #99 coupe worked his way to the front and took his first victory.  Congratulations go out to Joe on his first win. In the modified heat race the battle was on as each lap a different car took over first place.  Then only on the last few laps Danny Ferland from NH in his #21 Pinto crossed the line first to give Star the second victory for the evening.  Then it was feature time.  In the Sportsmen feature race Robert Harless from NY in his #8 Sedan took down the victory for the Sportsmen division.   Gary Moore from NH in the #7X coupe came in second with Joe Keefner from Ma in the #99 coupe to top off third.  It was a night for the coupes in the Sportsmen division. The modified feature race was a close one with David Viera from Ma in his #19 Pinto taking over the pack on the last lap to take down the victory for the modified division.  Danny Ferland from NH in his #21 Pinto and Dick Crotty from NH in his #32 Pinto had a photo finish with Ferland taking second only by inches giving Crotty to top off third. It was a night for the Pintos in the Modified division.  Star would like to thank Canaan Fair Speedway for a great night of racing.  Star will be returning to Canaan Fair Speedway on August 15^th for their third appearance.
