STAR'S ANNUAL  BANQUET

On November 9th the Senior Tour Auto Racers closed their 2013 season with their annual banquet.  This is STAR'S 15th season and it was great to see a large gathering of members and family come together to close out the season in a fashionable way.  It was great to see members from all over New England attend to bring the season to a close.  The banquet was held at Whites of Westport in Westport, Ma.  Over 60 awards were presented to the Star Members.  It has been an outstanding season for the Star Organization with unbelievable car counts every weekend.  Star tours every weekend to all the New England tracks to bring "Vintage Racing at it's Best". As members sat down to a four coarse meal, they were entertained with a slide show of over 300 candid photos from all the tracks and shows for the 2013 season, photos never seen by the members that were taken by Race Director Mary Lima. 

The evening began with the introduction of the Board of Directors.  It was great to see all the Board of Directors in attendance, but it was a sad note that two of our Board of Directors are retiring.  President Charlie Lima presented Robert Pringle and Rick MacDowell with a plaque for their services and dedication.  Then it was time to start the award presentations.

STAR'S PIG AWARD

The new STAR Pig Award is given to the member who takes the most top three finishes for the season!!!!!!!

This year Danny Ferland in the #21 Pinto takes down the award with 10 top three finishes.  Got ya Danny!!!!!!!!!

DASH FOR CASH RAFFLE

This is the time members get to give out what they want to give to crew members or other members. Some great and special awards were given out at this time.

Star would like to thank all the members who brought raffles for our raffle tables.  There was a huge selection of raffles for both ladies and men.  Star would like to thank Lana Stearns for taking on the job of selling the raffle tickets.  Also thank you to Tammy Barboza and Skip Stearns for taking on the job of distributing out the raffles.  The selling of raffle tickets were very profitable.
